Trams are really effective in 'Old Town' zones (the policy that bans non-local traffic), as they don't congest but means that people passing through the area can do so without their cars. Rail is good for connecting different towns on a rural map, or the busiest area of a city - although if it has too many stops, Metro is a better option.Ĭable Cars are a surprisingly good option in mountainous maps, and if two areas 'sit on top of' each other, it gets a lot of people moving, easily.įerries are only useful if you have a small island community or something, they don't cope very well with large passenger volumes.
